At Yamaha we are responsible to the environment. Our commitment is based on social, environmental and economic responsibility in an integrated manner. Three years ago we adopted an environmental policy with a work plan for 2010 and we have been fulfilling the goals that allow us to be a 100% environmentally friendly in all fields.

Our commitment to Colombia

As a subsidiary of the Yamaha Group in Incolmotos develop projects that allow us to develop our business with the least environmental impact.

The Girardota Production Plant, which opened in late 2006, for example, was designed to meet the commitment of Yamaha on issues of emissions, energy consumption and clean processes. To achieve this , in this plant programs such as the rational use of energy resources where better use of natural light is made ​​and the use of air conditioning thanks to the air circulation is avoided develop. Consumption also decreases saving water with keys and efficient processes using liquid recirculation. Equally we reduce the environmental impact generated by industrial and wastewater through treatment plants that are within the company.

 

With our domestic suppliers we are reviewing the materials used in the manufacture of parts. For example, in 2006 we remove asbestos from our production processes. Currently, we are developing with them a project in which 64 substances are analyzedYamaha Motor has defined as harmful to the environment and new materials are proposed to replace them without reducing its quality.

 

We also work to create a culture of recycling and safe and healthy environments, starting in our facilities with garbage separation program at the source.
